About the role.

The Senior Accountant will play a leading role in the monthly and quarterly close process as well as be a key contributor on department initiatives. The Senior Accountant should be a highly organized and proactive individual with a strong attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls. This is an exciting opportunity to be on a small team in a highly visible role working closely with the Global Controller.

Job Description:

• Lead and execute monthly and quarterly close cycle working closely with the Global Controller and external accounting team
• Fully responsible for the Procure to Pay and Expense Reimbursement cycle including managing requests and processes in Airbase procurement tool 
• Prepare full monthly financial package including financial statements and flux analysis
• Day to day monitoring of department inboxes and and ad-hoc requests
• Play a vital role assisting with external audits
• Collaborate with FP&A on variance analyses and ad hoc analyses

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field
• 3+ years of experience in public accounting or public/private mix
• CPA or CPA in process preferred
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP 
• Systems thinker mentality where you always think of ways to improve what we are doing while having both an eye on the big picture and the small details
• Experience with SaaS and/or Software startups is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with NetSuite, Expensify, and/or Airbase is a plus
• Google Suite and Microsoft Office proficiency (with mastery of Excel and Google Sheets)
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced SaaS Tech Startup environment and to prioritize & manage multiple projects
