Senior Back-end Developer with Elixir - India Only

Glific is an open-source 2-way communication platform  built on top of WhatsApp Business API. More info can be found at https://glific.org 

You will be responsible for enhancing and implementing new functionalities in Glific. The Glific back-end is built using Elixir,a dynamic, functional language designed for building scalable and maintainable applications. You should be familiar with the elixir ecosystem. Past experience of programming in Python is a plus but not a requirement.

We're looking for one engineer who is comfortable with a fast-moving environment and can learn quickly.. 

Responsibilities

• Develop new features and work on bug fixes
• Improve scalability, fault-tolerance, capacity, and performance of the system
• Work with a large existing codebase to identify opportunities for refactoring
• Leverage third party APIs to build integrations with the systems
• Improve the physical design of existing systems to optimize performance and/or provide self-service tooling
• Write, audit, and improve our test coverage
• Work with the team to move the project forward

Requirements

• 3-5 years’ experience working on complex systems such as servers, API gateways or application servers coupled with databases.
• Good understanding of functional programming concepts
• Proficiency with unit-testing and test-driven development
• Proven  ability to write clean, understandable and bug-free code.
