We are actively seeking a Collections Specialist to join our Finance Organization as a key member of the Revenue Team reporting to the Credit and Collections Senior Manager.  The Collections Specialist proactively helps monitor and collect on all billing transactions by resolving Customer questions or concerns within an assigned portfolio. 

The Collections Specialist is responsible for reviewing invoices, working with sales and account managers when necessary, and tracking outstanding transactions as per Company policy.   This role will assist with the review and streamlining of current processes and controls within Revenue Accounting and Operations.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage collection functions on a daily basis including any customer billing concerns or requests
  • Ensure timely and accurate notices are sent to customers for aged balances
  • Review unique Customer scenarios to determine the best possible path for a quick resolution
  • Complete ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned by the Credit and Collections Senior Manager
  • Participate in audits as appropriate to ensure the audit coordinator has all required information
  • Contribute to the implementation of newly acquired companies in regards to banking, collections efforts, and allowance considerations
  • Analyze our allowance for bad debt on a monthly basis
  • Maintain and support Customer emails through our ticketing system

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of related experience. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and Google Office Suite
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of general ledger systems (SAP, Oracle, Intacct)
  • Strong work ethic, accountable, and able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Team player who has the ability to work independently and proactively to respond to inquiries and deliver results  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required is a plus.
