What We’re Looking For in an Enterprise Salesperson

We seek an experienced and driven Enterprise Salesperson with a strong background in selling technical services and solutions to senior individuals at regulated companies in the UK. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in selling consulting or enterprise-level software technology and be skilled in solution selling using the MEDDIC sales methodology. Additionally, the candidate should have experience closing deals ranging from $50K to $5M and be capable of identifying and coordinating the appropriate technical and presales resources at different stages of the sales cycle.

This individual will manage a select number of existing accounts but will primarily be responsible for driving new business. They will need to spend time prospecting, following up on leads, and taking the necessary steps to identify new opportunities. The candidate will have the support of an inside sales representative.

Roles, Responsibilities, and Requirements of our Enterprise Salesperson

  • Client Engagement: Identify and engage with senior stakeholders at regulated companies to understand their needs and present tailored technical services and solutions.
  • Prospecting: Dedicate significant time to prospecting, following up on leads, and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Solution Selling: Utilise a solution-selling approach to understand client challenges and demonstrate how our services can meet their needs.
  • MEDDIC Methodology: Apply the MEDDIC sales methodology to effectively manage and close sales opportunities.
  • Deal Closure: Successfully close deals ranging from $50K to $5M, ensuring mutual value for clients and ControlPlane.
  • Resource Coordination: Identify and coordinate the appropriate technical and presales resources for the different stages of the sales cycle, ensuring smooth transitions and comprehensive support throughout.
  • Existing Accounts: Manage a select number of existing accounts, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Reporting: Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to the CRO, detailing progress towards targets and key performance metrics.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including inside sales, marketing, product development, and customer success, to align sales efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Travel: Regular travel to client sites and industry events as required.

Our Enterprise Salesperson Will Have These Preferred or Specific Skills

  • 2-3 years of experience in field sales or enterprise account management within the technology sector.
  • Proven track record of selling consulting or enterprise-level software solutions.
  • Strong understanding of the technical services landscape, particularly within regulated industries.
  • Proficiency in solution selling and experience with the MEDDIC sales methodology.
  • Experience closing deals ranging from $50K to $5M.
  • Ability to identify and coordinate the appropriate technical and presales resources at different stages of the sales cycle.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools.
