About the Role

CloudBees is seeking a Technical Writer to join our documentation team. You'll create and maintain documentation across multiple CloudBees products, working with subject matter experts globally to deliver clear, accurate content for our users. This is an exciting time to join as we transition to AI-first documentation practices and modernize our content framework.

What You'll Do

• Write, edit, and maintain technical documentation for CloudBees products.
• Create tutorials, how-to guides, explanations, and reference materials.
• Contribute to release notes for product updates.
• Conduct peer reviews of documentation contributions.
• Collaborate with SMEs across UK, US, India, and Australia time zones.
• Contribute to our docs-as-code workflow using industry-standard tools.
• Ensure documentation meets quality standards and style guidelines.

What You Bring

• Native-level fluency in English with excellent written communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, English, Technical Writing, Journalism, or a related humanities field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience as a technical writer, preferably in software/technology.
• Strong ability to understand complex technical concepts and explain them clearly.
• Comfort working with code examples and developer-focused content, even if not a programmer yourself.
• Experience working independently in remote environments.
• Flexibility to coordinate across multiple time zones.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to adapt to different communication preferences, from async documentation reviews to live technical discussions.

Nice to Have

• Understanding of DevOps practices and SaaS platforms.
• Experience with AI tools and large language models for documentation workflows.
• Experience with docs-as-code methodology.
• Familiarity with AsciiDoc markup language.
• Proficiency with GitHub, Snagit, IntelliJ IDEA, or VS Code.
