The Technical Consultant’s primary role is to contribute to the successful delivery and completion of Workload Automation (WLA) projects that involve technical subject matter. This role will work as part of a team of technical consultants by providing skilled technical consultation, implementing technical solutions, assisting customers in translating business requirements into technical requirements, and providing training to customers regarding Workload Automation and its’ relation to the customer. Travel may be necessary to deliver high-quality expected service. This is a hands-on technical position that requires a flexible, motivated, self-directed individual with strong problem-solving skills who can comfortably communicate directly with executive levels as well as engineering personnel at customer sites.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist our Customers to deploy solutions remotely and/or on-site.
  • Consistently execute tasks in a timely manner with minimal revisions needed.
  • Provides guidance on how to enhance the project through thoughtful recommendations.
  • Interacts well with the customer and project team.
  • Interacts with customers regularly to schedule work, provide project updates, clarify requirements, answer questions about the project or products, and drive ongoing projects to completion. Often delivers product training.
  • Regularly employs consultative selling techniques during customer interactions and identifies selling opportunities (software and services) with customers.
  • Identifies, develops, and shares best practices documentation within appropriate space.
  • Work with Sales and Pre-Sales to create SOW’s and provide Services budgetary estimates.
  • Travel domestically and internationally as needed (as possible via current travel policies/restrictions), 25% on a regular basis, and up to a possible 50% of the time.

Qualifications:

  • A four-year degree is preferred. Equivalent work experience and accreditations will be considered.
  • Strong experience in a technical role (preferably software, SaaS, or Enterprise IT).
  • Experienced with Workload Automation Technologies.
  • Experience working in a customer-facing role such as consultant, technical support, or sales engineering.
  • Development or scripting experience with some of the following preferred: C#, PowerShell, Shell, SQL, or other API related technologies.
  • Excellent time management and priority setting skills.
  • Understands project fundamentals such as risk management, communication, and task tracking.
  • Strong cross-functional communication.
  • Sound judgment and decision making.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to analyze information, evaluate results and present complicated information clearly.
