Job Description

Giskard defends the vision of a Responsible AI that serves the economic performance of companies while respecting the rights of citizens. To embody this mission, Giskard enables AI professionals (Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers) to evaluate & test the quality of ML models.

We are building the first collaborative & open-source Quality Assurance platform for *all* ML models. We already empower customers with two solutions:

  • The Giskard Python library helps Data Scientists detect hidden vulnerabilities in ML models.
    • It makes the AI development process more efficient, by automating the identification of risks of biases, performance issues and errors.To try it, see this documentation.
  • The Giskard server helps ML Engineers debug & compare models, share dashboards, and collaborate
    • It makes the deployment of new ML models safer and more efficient, by providing ready-made monitoring dashboards, catalogs of re-usable testing components, and ML debugging interfaces.

In 2023, we received a strategic investment of 3M€ from the European Commission to build a SaaS platform to automate compliance with the upcoming EU AI regulation. You can read more here.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be in the driving seat to accelerate the development of our platform. Working directly with our CTO, your missions will be to:

  • Build our platform by designing and implementing its features both on the backend and frontend
    • Our platform is a full-stack application with a Python & Java backend and Vue.js frontend in Typescript.
  • Work closely with Machine Learning libraries like scikit-learn, tensorflow, torch and transformers
  • Build essential tools for the Responsible AI wave of innovation in the AI community

Requirements

We are looking for an entrepreneurial doer with a growth mindset and a minimum of 4 years of experience. We are hiring people located in France or willing to relocate. You must have an EU work permit.

Skills

  • Experience in Java and Javascript frameworks like Vue.js. Bonus for Python (data science stack: pandas, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and Typescript.
  • Know testing frameworks and be used to write tests for your code
  • DevOps skills are a must: Docker + cloud infrastructure
  • Technical and non-technical writing skills in English
  • Bonus: Contribution to Open-Source software projects

Salary: between 50 000 € and 75 000 € / year (brut) + 0.3 - 0.5% of equity
