This role sits at the intersection of brand storytelling, information architecture, user experience (UX), and conversion velocity.

You are responsible for planning, organizing, publishing, and continuously optimizing website content to ensure it is clear, accessible, search-optimized, and deeply aligned with enterprise buyer journeys. You don't just put copy on web pages; you shape how users discover, navigate, and engage with content across suse.com, turning high-intent visitors into engaged product trialists and long-term community members.

Focus Areas

  • Digital Content Strategy & Lifecycle Management: End-to-end management of web content, from briefs and content outlines through governance, publication, optimization, and retirement.

  • Information Architecture & Component Modeling: Organizing page structures, taxonomies, internal linking, and reusable component libraries within the Content Management System (CMS).

  • Buyer Journey Mapping & Friction Reduction: Mapping digital pathways, eliminating dead ends, and designing clear content flows that guide users to action.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Acting as the operational bridge between Brand, , Campaign Marketing, Product Marketing, SEO, UX/UI Designers, Analytics, and Web Development teams.

Accountabilities

  • Web Content Planning & Governance:

    • Manage website content across its full lifecycle, maintaining editorial calendars, content inventories, publishing schedules, and governance frameworks.

    • Translate product messaging and campaign briefs into clear, high-performing web-content specifications.

    • Ensure all web properties adhere to brand, editorial, accessibility (WCAG), readability, and localized governance standards.

  • Information & Content Architecture:

    • Organize complex technical concepts into clear page hierarchies, navigation structures, metadata, and topic clusters.

    • Define page-level layouts using modular, reusable CMS components that balance user experience with brand standards.

    • Partner with SEO specialists to implement semantic content structures, internal-linking strategies, and search optimization.

  • Digital Journey Optimization:

    • Map buyer pathways across priority web experiences to ensure every page has a clear audience, purpose, and key call-to-action (CTA).

    • Analyze behavioral analytics, heatmaps, and search data to identify content gaps, friction points, and underperforming assets.

    • Recommend and support content-focused A/B tests and conversion improvements in partnership with the CRO and UX teams.

  • Content Wireframing & Definition:

    • Create content-first schematics and page outlines to demonstrate message hierarchy, content modules, and visual flow prior to design/dev handoff.

    • Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers on complex interaction patterns, ensuring content and design function as a cohesive unit.

    • Perform quality assurance (QA) prior to release—verifying layout, links, responsive formatting, and accessibility.

  • Stakeholder & Production Coordination:

    • Turn disparate stakeholder requests into clear technical and editorial requirements for the web production queue.

    • Maintain transparent visibility into content project status, dependencies, and upcoming web releases.

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Experience: Multiple years of experience in web content management, content strategy, digital copy/UX writing, or website operations within enterprise B2B tech or SaaS.

  • CMS Expertise: Strong hands-on experience managing and publishing via modern component-based Content Management Systems (e.g., Enterprise WordPress, AEM, Contentful, Drupal, or Optimizely).

  • IA & Journey Mindset: Solid understanding of content architecture, taxonomies, metadata, user flow mapping, and digital friction reduction.

  • Analytics & SEO: Familiarity with web analytics (Google Analytics/GA4), SEO best practices, keyword mapping, and user behavior tools (Microsoft Clarity).

  • Tools & Production: Wireframing tools (e.g., Figma), basic HTML/CSS, and ticketing/workflow platforms (Jira, Airtable).

  • Quality & Communication: Outstanding writing, editing, proofreading, and stakeholder management skills with high attention to detail.

Personal Attributes

  • Systems Thinker: Sees the connective tissue between individual web pages, global campaigns, and overall buyer journeys.

  • Collaborative Multiplier: Thrives as the connective bridge between technical teams (developers) and creative teams (writers/designers).

  • Detail-Oriented & Methodical: Obsessed with accuracy, brand consistency, clear navigation, and user-friendly digital experiences.

  • Adaptable & Curious: Eager to learn modern web capabilities, AI-assisted content tools, and evolving web standards.

Measures of Success

  • Content Accuracy & Governance: Measurable reduction in outdated, duplicate, or orphaned content across priority web sections.

  • Journey Progression & Engagement: Improved click-through rates (CTR) on key calls to action and decreased bounce/drop-off rates on high-intent journeys.

  • Publishing Efficiency: Faster SLA response times and streamlined workflows from initial content request to live web publishing.

  • SEO & Findability Performance: Improved organic visibility and page-level engagement for core technical and marketing themes.

  • Project Execution: On-time, high-quality delivery of web content deliverables for major product launches and campaign pushes.
