MOBIUS, a nonprofit 501(C)3 library membership organization, located in Columbia, Missouri, is seeking a Customer Service DevOps Linux Engineer to join our team.

Position Description
The MOBIUS Customer Service DevOps Linux Engineer works in a team environment to assist in managing IT services related to MOBIUS customers, members, and staff. As a not-for-profit organization that works with libraries of nearly all sizes and types, it is critical for this position to have a high degree of skill across a broad range of technical areas, be highly adaptable, and be able to identify and implement low-cost but effective solutions. The position requires the ability to work in a close team environment in a small office serving internal and external customers at all skill levels.

About MOBIUS
MOBIUS (mobiusconsortium.org) is a not-for-profit, 501 (C)(3) tax-exempt organization that is transforming library services with cost-effective help desk, training, technical resources, courier management, and procurement services. The MOBIUS consortium comprises 71 libraries with over 120 branches, which includes 63 academic libraries, 5 public libraries, 3 special libraries, and the Missouri State Library. MOBIUS is proud to be an open source consortium, providing FOLIO to 61 of our academic libraries on a shared tenant. We went live on FOLIO on May 22, 2024. We are one of the founding members of OpenRS, the open source resource sharing platform. MOBIUS was the first to go live with OpenRS on June 12, 2024, with FOLIO, Sierra, and Polaris libraries.
The consortium's purpose is to share library materials, information, and services using accessible, cost-effective methods. In line with our support for open source software, MOBIUS also offers Hyku, an open source institutional repository platform, to our member libraries as well as the open source archiving and digital display platforms ArchivesSpace and Omeka. We help our libraries promote access to open and affordable resources and enhance student success through our OER partnerships, services, and training opportunities. The MOBIUS Central Office is located in Columbia, Missouri, and its customers and members span the states of Missouri, Oklahoma, Iowa, Kansas, North Carolina, Arkansas, Texas, and Massachusetts.
About Evergreen
In addition to services for members, MOBIUS offers contract-based hosting and management services to libraries and consortia for Evergreen, a complete open source ILS. We provide technical, operational, and administrative support through MOBIUS Open Source Solutions (MOSS).
Evergreen is a highly-scalable software for libraries that helps library patrons find library materials, and helps libraries manage, catalog, and circulate those materials, no matter how large or complex the libraries. Evergreen is open source software, licensed under the GNU GPL, version 2 or later. The Evergreen Project is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

According to the Columbia Chamber of Commerce: Columbia offers small-town friendliness with big city features and a high quality of life for people of all ages and interests.
